Artist Statement
I am a Neo-Pop artist. It is important to me that my work communicate my explorations on the American culture and the expectations that are ever present for women. I come from 4 generations of women that created beautiful things from a needle and cloth. I tried other media, but they never felt quite right, it always felt like something was missing. After much discovery I added embroidery to my work, it was a eureka moment. I am the first of my family line to break away from store bought patterns and create something new, something that comes straight out of my imagination.
